Monarch Productions is excited to be
covering the most prestigious strength and conditioning
clinic to be held on the east coast in 2009. The
Central Virginia Sports Performance Seminar is being held
April 17 - 19 at the University of Richmond's
Robins Center/Jepson Hall. This seminar was strategically
designed by one of the hardest working college Strength
Coaches in the country, Jay DeMayo. DeMayo is the
Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the University of
Richmond Men's and Women's Basketball Programs.
Throughout his tenure in the field of strength training
DeMayo has garnered the respect and praise of some of
the most worldly renown experts in his field, and has established
working relationships with those individuals. Using this to his
advantage, he has created an event that will allow participants
to learn the most recent and innovative training techniques and
skills from the most experienced and knowledgeable experts in
that field. College and high school coaches from up and down
the east coast will be in attendance to gain a tremendous
advantage on preparing their respective programs for the future.
To get more information on the speakers at this clinic and
additional information, visit the seminar's website at www.centralvasportperformanceseminar.com And to discuss
payment options you can contact Jay DeMayo directly by
shooting him an email at jdemayo@richmond.edu
Some other hard working individuals in Central Virginia are the
young men of the Douglas Freeman Lacrosse Team. Monarch
Productions has been following the Freeman Lax team for the
2009 season and while the Rebels got off to a slow start this
season, mainly because of a young team, they are climbing
back to the top with three big wins just recently. This is the
first time that Monarch Productions has covered Lacrosse and
it has definitely been an enjoyable process. If you're interested
in checking out a Lacrosse game, which is recommend if you have
never seen one, then visit the rebels homepage at www.rebelslax.com .
In a game of poker, two of a kind usually won't get you much.
But with Meadowbrook Football, two of a kind will get you a district
championship, four central region runner-ups, a regional championship,
a state championship, and a first-class program. And that's all in just
the last six seasons! That two of a kind would happen to be Bill Bowles
and Dewey Windham. In an atmosphere where hip-hop music,
glorification of money, saggy pants, violence, sex and disrespect
dominate the brain cells of teenagers, how exactly do you get the
results you set out to accomplish? You follow Bill Bowles and Dewey Windham.
The young men, past and present, that Bowles and Windham
coached at Meadowbrook were in need of guidance. They were in
need of direction, a sense of self, better yet, a respect of self.
Along with other coaches such as Bill Gray, these young men were
lead by men who delivered a message. A message that created hope,
family, integrity, honor, faith, and love. What these coaches have given
to the many young, dedicated men of Monarch Football can not be
measured or denied. The departure of Bowles, Windham, and Gray
is a sad one. We are confident Monarch Football will be left in good hands,
but we will forever be in debt to the men who revived the
Meadowbrook Community. With your honor, your generosity, and your love
you have brought us back to life. We love you Coach Bowles, Coach Windham,
and Coach Gray. You are Meadowbrook Football!
